tutorials The Digital Media tutorials focus on different multimedia activities and skills that are associated with preparing and optimising content for web design and other presentation systems.

These tutorials are suitable for everyone from beginner to expert!

They focus on the key learning styles that we all possess and take you through each task step by step with easy to follow instructions. All tutorials have been tried and tested on a Windows based PC.

The Digital Media tutorials are organised into 5 groups as follows:→ 

  1. Using Peripherals
    Covers the basic steps for using peripherals like webcams, microphones,
    scanners and digicams to cpture and input multimedia data.

  2. Live Movie Maker
    Find out how to create a video with Movie maker using still images. Basic editing techniques like splitting, trimming, etc. are also included.

  3. HTML Introduction
    All you need is Notepad to get started creating your own web pages using HTML.
    Learn the tags for text, hyperlinks, lists and tables.

  4. Web Design Principles
    Explore the key web design principles that apply to most Digital Media courses
    such as NPA Web Design Principles. Focuses mainly on classroom activities and
    web based resources.

  5. File Formats
    For any Computing or Digital media course you will need to know about the basic
    file types that are used for multimedia. Leads into areas like file editing, manipulation, optimisation, etc.
