ICT/Art Lesson Plans
The ICT/Art lessons had the following objectives:- Scan an image
Use paint bucket, magic wand, rubber, zoom, gradient and brushes on the tools palette.
Manipulate two digital photos
Use filters
Use some special effects
Combine your drawing and your photograph to make one image
Preparation
To maximise the time spent on actually using the PC's and the application software, the machines were booted up and the software loaded before the class began.
Step 1 - Set up PC and projector - used for demonstration
Step 2 - Switch on Tablet PC's, log on, start up application - Photo Elements
Step 3 - Copy files for each group.

The ICT Training
The Tablet PC training session covered looking for the best way to complete the tasks using the equipment available, Things like the different ways that the pupils could use the machine - using the tablet pointer or using the keyboards, time taken to load applications and manipulate images, how and where files could be stored and transferred. This was necessary as the initial drawings were scanned onto the desktop PC and would have to be transferred to the tablets..
As the training session progressed, attention turned to the preparation of materials and resources (mainly moving from paper to digital media -scanning and image manipulation). See summary -Table 1:
